History of El Paso Movie Rancho

Nestled near the charming village of Kovatchevci in Bulgaria, El Paso Movie Rancho stands as a testament to passion, vision, and creative evolution. What began in 2009 with a humble caravan and a small shed for horse riding equipment has flourished into a premier destination for both cinematic artistry and equestrian excellence.

From Modest Beginnings to Cinematic Fame

The journey of El Paso began with a deep love for horses and the rugged charm of the Wild West. Initially serving as a modest equestrian base, the ranch soon captured the imagination of filmmakers seeking authentic Western landscapes in Europe. The pivotal moment came in 2018 when El Paso became an official filming location for the blockbuster Rambo: Last Blood, marking its debut on the international cinema stage. The momentum continued with the filming of Till Death featuring Megan Fox in 2021. Between these major productions, the ranch also hosted numerous music videos, commercials, and independent films, solidifying its reputation as a versatile and sought-after filming ground.

Dual Foundations: Horses and Cinema

El Paso Movie Rancho thrives on the unique synergy between two seemingly different worlds—horses and filmmaking. On one hand, it serves as a sanctuary for equestrian activities, including therapeutic riding programs that harness the healing power of horses. On the other hand, it is a dynamic production hub, where cinematic dreams come to life. Significant developments over the years have included the construction of the iconic barn, the „Rambo house,“ and a dedicated garage featured in key scenes of major productions. In 2024, the ranch expanded further, building a new barn to support Legendary Filming, a renowned studio behind some of cinema’s most iconic productions, including work with Marvel Studios.

A Destination for Creativity and Connection

Today, El Paso Movie Rancho is not just a filming location—it’s a place where stories are born, and connections are forged. Whether hosting movie crews, supporting therapeutic riding sessions, or simply welcoming visitors drawn to its unique history, the ranch continues to embody the pioneering spirit that shaped its journey. As it looks to the future, El Paso remains committed to expanding its legacy, blending the worlds of cinema and equestrian passion, and inspiring all who come to experience its extraordinary landscape.
